GIVENCHY COUTURE 2010

Riccardo Tisci, you absolute hero. This is the most excited I've been about a couture show in a long while, it's incredible. Lace, feathers, fringe-work - amazing. In classic Tisci stlye, the collection is really sensual - all texture and flesh tones and racy mesh panels. The anatomy references are amazing without being novelty: skeleton shapes done in lace and bones for zippers. Can you imagine wearing one of these babies?! Encrusted with Swarovski, beads and god knows what else, one of them took 1,600 hours to make. Holy shit.

More photos (yes that's right, I nicked the whole bloody thing off style.com, it's that good) after the jump. Also, read Tim Blanks' thoughts here.

The Rag and Bone Shop of the Heart

found my da!

Whopping Good Read.

I walked around Paris for a solid hour and a half (seriously, I won't bore you with the details of my epic journey, but like, holy fuck), but I finally found the one magazine shop I've ever found Ten Magazine. And it's a cracker, look at bits of it here, but I massively reccomend getting it in real life cos it's a fucking pleasure to hold and read. And I'm pretty sure it smells nice. I can officially tell you the shop is called Agora Presse and it's on rue des Archives in the Marais. Very much enjoying my other selections: Oyster, Industrie and A Perfect Magazine.
